    Care Home

    The home comprises of sixty two bedrooms all with en-suit  facilities, TV point and 24 hour call system. The home is fully accessible with lift access to the first floor.

    The rooms are divided into eight houses of between five and  ten residential rooms, each having a communal lounge, kitchen and dining area. Residents are encouraged to add their own homely touches to their room.

    There are extensive landscaped gardens for the enjoyment of residents and communal spaces within the home for social activities and to entertain family and friends.

    The home also produces a variety of home cooked meals using fresh local ingredients wherever possible and also has a dedicated vegetarian kitchen. We tailor our menus to suit individual special dietary requirements.

    There is a hairdressing salon providing a range of hair and beauty treatments and a small shop run by the residents.

    A dedicated activity coordinator facilitates a wide ranging programmer of social and recreational activities available to all. Activities are designed to stimulate reminiscence and encourage independence. Residents are consulted and encouraged to contribute ideas for the activities provided within the home and within the wider community.

    Sancroft provides 24 hour residential and dementia care for older people with a wide range of healthcare needs including those with long term conditions and physical disabilities. Healthcare professionals regularly visit the home these include local GP’s, chiropodists, opticians, physiotherapists and dieticians.

    Sancroft aims to provide people in our care a secure, relaxed and homely environment meeting their individual needs with dignity and respect. Our ‘person centred’ care planning approach develops an individual care plan incorporating the resident’s views and desires, designed to promote and maintain independence.

    Every Resident is treated with respect and we use all means and opportunities to enhance their dignity and status as valued citizens.
